The Genesis line of gas springs has been created to cover the industry's wide range of size and force requirements. These include the very compact lower force springs in the 6x15 range to the largest force requirement in the 14x28 configuration.
Engineering Highlights of Genesis Gas Springs:
Nislide Rods - The Nislide process creates a tough, ductile, fatigue-resistant nitride surface on the rod. When compared with chrome-plated rods in 24-hour ASTM B117 salt-spray tests, nitrided rods exhibited superior corrosion resistance by a factor of 8 to 1.
Lip Sealed - Overall improved sealing properties, which lead to longer gas spring life.
Roll-Closed Tube Ends - This cold-forming rollover process eliminates the need for 360° disk welds which have higher failure rates due to gas loss and structural failure.
