    Austin Hardware® is excited to introduce Power Plate by Genesis™. Our new INVERTER-CHARGERS and LITHIUM-ION batteries power tools, equipment, and accessories, including the air conditioning, on any work vehicle without having to idle the engine.

    - Why Use Power Plate?

    Why Use Power Plate? The Power Plate inverter-charger charges a lithium-ion battery using the vehicle's alternator while the vehicle is running.

    When the vehicle is stopped you can turn off the engine and Power Plate takes over, allowing you to run all of the accessories inside the vehicle, as well as any tools or equipment you're using, without the engine idling.

    - Benefits of Idle Mitigation

    There are many benefits to Idle Mitigation that go straight to the vehicle owner's bottom line. Also, preventing the engine from running idle for long periods has a positive environmental effect and improves working conditions. 

    The benefits list includes:
    • Converts DC to standard 110 AC power
    • Powers all accessories in the vehicle, including air conditioning
    • Lowers fuel consumption
    • Reduces emissions
    • Extends OEM battery life

    - Inverter Chargers

    Our power inverter-chargers convert DC to standard 110 AC power by use of transformers, circuit boards, and an electronic oscillator that produces an electronic signal.

    They are low-frequency systems designed to power ample loads over an extended period of time. They feature a non-corrosive exterior cabinet, internal ventilation fans to dispense heat, heavy-duty fittings with lightweight plastic assembly, GFCI outlet, and a terminal block to hardwire AC input and output.

    A programmed algorithm monitors the four-stage battery charger from bulk charge to trickle.

    - Lithium-Ion Batteries

    Lithium-ion batteries are made up of a series of 3V cells. Strung together, they can deliver consistent performance time after time. Inside each cell is a battery management system that monitors a consistent discharge that is reliable and strong.
