Our Engineering team will work with you to understand your needs and help identify your goals. We gather information about your biggest issues and understand why you are committed to solving them. We then analyze what you may have tried in the past and identify the shortcomings. This fact-finding session allows us to engineer the right solution for you.
The Engineering process is iterative. As your partner, you have the opportunity to be very involved or completely hands off through each step of the process. These iterations allow us to work out problems, make improvements and ensure a successful launch. It may take a few iterations but our systems are very efficient at quickly identifying issues and solving them. Once these iterations are complete we send our designs to you for approval before prototyping samples!
Once our design passes an internal design validation review, it's time to move toward production. During this phase, we prove the integrity of the design with the first article production samples. These samples give us the opportunity to visualize what the production parts will look like and perform durability testing to verify all requirements have been met or exceeded After approval, the parts are released to full production.

Genesis™ gas springs are not a commodity product. They are engineered to meet a set of exacting standards for safety, ergonomics, and performance. All the while, they are priced aggressively allowing for a competitive end product.
Our product offering includes low profile, extra heavy duty steel slides with full extension rated up to 1,100 and 770 lbs. respectively; a corrosion resistant aluminum slide that is exceptionally strong with a rating of up to 660 lbs.; and a 4-member steel slide with over-travel up to 150% extension rates at up to 440 lbs.
Our patented Front Drawer Release (FDR) & Genesis Drawer Release Pro/Lite are the perfect solutions for mobile storage situations, as seen in emergency/rescue vehicles, cargo vans, maintenance trucks, and utility vehicles, where working on level ground is not always possible, subsequently requiring a drawer that can lock in both the open and closed positions.
The Austin Engineered FDR system is a patented solution that works in conjunction with the Austin Hardware lock-in, lock-out 7650 series drawer slides. Key features include:
Allows One-Handed Operation.
With the FDR, the drawer can be unlatched and opened from the "latched closed" position; likewise, it can be unlatched & closed from the "latched open" position. A 300# rated drawer can be pulled open with a single finger!

"Since my company entered into a vendor managed inventory program with Austin, our service levels and in-stock position on our parts have never been better. We consolidated 23 suppliers down to one, Austin.
Now we only have one invoice to review, one shipment to check in and we are in stock 99% of the time! Austin has one of the best customer service teams we work with, I would recommend this program to anyone who needs to take control of their inventory and be sure to have the parts you need on the shelves!"

"I wanted to send along some great news. We have experienced a few problems with shipping over the years, but the solutions that you put in place over the last few weeks have been very positive. On another note, Tom and Emma, the Vendor Managed Inventory team that I have been working with, have done a great job responding to concerns and questions in a timely fashion. That fact is another reason our VMI program is successful and getting stronger every day. Our overall numbers continue to increase and we are looking forward to the growth in 2017."
